Community Plan process, including
what we’ve been working on,
what’s coming next, and
when you’ll have another
opportunity to provide input.
The Advisory Group met on
November 18 and February 3.
Meeting summaries are available on the webpage.
All first-round feedback has been reviewed and summarized. The comments are now being used to draft language across each of the plan topic areas, including early goals and policies that may be incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan.
We identified discrepancies between zoning data and parcel data that resulted in inaccurate figures. These overlaps have been corrected. Updated information is now available on the Zoning webpage under “Private Ownership, Figure 2”.
A key priority moving forward is gaining a clearer understanding of potential zoning changes that could support the mission, vision, and goals of the Community Plan.
The Advisory Group and project team have discussed the need to narrow the list of zoning options for further evaluation. In order to identify and select a preferred alternative, both the Advisory Group and the broader community will need more detailed information about the implications of each option.
Using the feedback received, the team is drafting community goals:
We are also evaluating which issues can be addressed through the Comprehensive Plan and which fall under the responsibility of other agencies or partners. Items outside the scope of the Comprehensive Plan will still be documented in the Community Plan for future community-led efforts.
